Deposit Rates

Interest rates and annual percentage yields (APY) for personal and business deposit accounts at Calder Bank & Trust, N.A. Rates shown apply to accounts opened or renewed at any of our 61 offices and to consumer accounts opened through Q2 Online. Rates on certificates are fixed for the term. Rates on checking, savings and money market accounts are variable and may change at any time after the account is opened.

Rates as of August 5, 2026. This page is reviewed each business day and updated when a rate changes. If you are comparing a rate you were quoted in a branch, ask for it in writing, because a quoted rate is not locked until the account or certificate is funded.

Personal checking

Everyday Checking does not pay interest. The three interest bearing checking accounts pay a single rate on the entire balance once the balance to earn the APY is met. Account features, monthly service charges and the conditions for waiving them are described on the personal checking page and in the account disclosures.

Account Minimum to open Minimum daily balance to earn APY (3) Interest rate APY (1)
Everyday Checking $50.00 Not applicable Does not earn interest Does not earn interest

Premier Checking, $50,000.00 and above $2,500.00 $50,000.00 0.25% 0.25%

Premier Checking is tiered. The rate that corresponds to the ending daily balance is paid on the entire balance in the account, not only on the portion within that tier. Interest is not earned on any day the daily balance is below $2,500.00.

Personal savings

Additional transfers are subject to the excess transaction charge listed in the fee schedule on the disclosures page.

Certificates of deposit

Certificate rates are fixed for the full term and do not change until maturity. Minimum to open and minimum balance to earn the APY is $1,000.00 for standard certificates. Interest compounds daily and is credited quarterly. You may choose to have interest credited to the certificate, transferred to a Calder deposit account, or paid by check.

Featured terms

13 month Featured $10,000.00 4.00% 4.08% 12 month standard

Featured terms require at least $10,000.00 in funds not on deposit with Calder Bank & Trust within the prior 30 calendar days. At maturity a featured certificate renews into the standard term shown, at the standard rate then in effect. A featured offer may be withdrawn at any time, which does not affect a certificate that is already funded.

Longer terms do not always pay more. On August 5, 2026 the highest yield on this table is the 15 month term, and yields decline through the 48 month term before rising slightly at 60 months. Compare the term you actually need against the term with the highest yield before you decide.

IRA certificates

IRA certificates are available in the same terms shown above and pay the same rate and APY as the standard certificate of like term. The minimum to open an IRA certificate is $500.00, and $500.00 is also the minimum daily balance required to earn the disclosed annual percentage yield on an IRA certificate. Contribution limits, eligibility and the tax treatment of distributions are set by federal law and are not determined by the bank. Calder Bank & Trust does not provide tax advice. Consult your tax advisor. (6)

Early withdrawal penalties

If you withdraw principal from a certificate before the maturity date, a penalty is imposed. The penalty is calculated on the amount withdrawn at the interest rate in effect on the certificate at the time of withdrawal.

Original term Penalty
3 through 11 months90 days interest on the amount withdrawn
12 through 23 months180 days interest on the amount withdrawn
24 months and longer365 days interest on the amount withdrawn

The penalty may reduce principal if the interest earned on the certificate is less than the penalty amount. The penalty is waived on withdrawals made after the death or adjudication of incompetence of an owner, and on required minimum distributions from an IRA certificate held by an owner who has reached the applicable age.

Grace period and renewal

Standard certificates renew automatically for the same term at the rate in effect on the maturity date. You have a grace period of 10 calendar days after the maturity date to withdraw funds, add funds or change the term without a penalty. We mail a maturity notice at least 30 calendar days before the maturity date of any certificate with a term longer than one month. Interest is not paid on funds withdrawn during the grace period after the maturity date.

Common questions

What is the difference between the interest rate and the APY?

The interest rate is the rate at which interest accrues on your balance. The annual percentage yield reflects the effect of compounding over one year. Because interest on these accounts compounds daily, the APY is slightly higher than the interest rate. The APY assumes the principal and the interest remain on deposit for a full year at the same rate.

When does a rate change take effect on my account?

Variable rates on checking, savings and money market accounts may change at our discretion at any time, including after an account is opened. A change takes effect on the date we set it and we are not required to notify you in advance of an increase or a decrease. Fixed certificate rates do not change during the term.

Does a fee reduce what I earn?

Yes. Fees and monthly service charges assessed to the account can reduce the earnings on the account. The schedule of fees is published on the disclosures page and is provided at account opening.

How do I open one of these accounts?

Open a consumer deposit account at any office (see locations) or through Q2 Online if you already bank with us. Certificates and IRA certificates are opened in a branch. Bring a government issued photo identification and your Social Security number or taxpayer identification number.

Is my deposit insured?

Deposits are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation up to the maximum amount allowed by law, currently $250,000 per depositor, for each ownership category, at this institution. Coverage across multiple accounts depends on how the accounts are titled. A banker can review your titling with you, and the FDIC publishes an insurance estimator at fdic.gov.

Disclosures

(1) Annual percentage yield

APY means annual percentage yield. All rates and yields on this page are accurate as of August 5, 2026 and are subject to change without notice, except that the rate on a certificate of deposit is fixed for the stated term. The APY assumes principal and interest remain on deposit for the full term or, for accounts with no stated term, for one year at the rate in effect. Withdrawing interest reduces earnings.

(2) How interest is calculated

We use the daily balance method, which applies a daily periodic rate to the principal in the account each day. Interest begins to accrue no later than the business day we receive credit for the deposit of noncash items such as checks. Interest compounds daily. Interest is credited monthly on checking, savings and money market accounts and quarterly on certificates. If you close an interest bearing account before interest is credited, accrued interest is paid at closing, except on a Holiday Club account closed before the October 1 disbursement date, where interest accrued for the current club year is forfeited as stated in the personal savings section of this page and in the account disclosures.

(3) Fees and minimum balances

Fees could reduce the earnings on the account. Minimum balance requirements shown are the daily balance required to obtain the disclosed annual percentage yield, and are separate from any minimum balance required to avoid a monthly service charge. Both are stated in the account disclosures you receive at account opening and in the fee schedule on the disclosures page.

(4) Certificates of deposit

A penalty may be imposed for early withdrawal of principal from a certificate of deposit. The penalty may reduce principal. Certificates require a minimum opening deposit as stated in the table. Featured terms are limited time offers and require funds not on deposit with the bank within the prior 30 calendar days. We may withdraw a featured term or change the rate we offer on it at any time without notice. A change to a featured offer does not affect a certificate that is already funded, whose rate is fixed until maturity.

(5) Availability and eligibility

Accounts are available to residents of the states in which Calder Bank & Trust maintains offices and are subject to approval. Age based accounts require documentation of the account holder's date of birth. Public funds and fiduciary accounts may be subject to additional requirements. Rates on this page do not apply to accounts held through the trust department. For trust and fiduciary deposit pricing see trust services.

(6) Tax reporting

Interest of $10.00 or more paid during a calendar year is reported to the Internal Revenue Service on Form 1099-INT. Backup withholding applies if we do not have a certified taxpayer identification number on file for the account.
