About the role

The Trust Officer administers personal trust, estate, agency and retirement relationships for families in the Knoxville and East Tennessee market, from our South Gay Street office.

What you will do

Administer an assigned book of fiduciary and agency relationships, including discretionary distribution decisions and the documentation that supports them.
Meet with beneficiaries, families and their advisors, and lead the annual administrative review of each account.
Work with the investment team on account objectives and with the tax preparer on the annual filing cycle.
Develop new fiduciary business with attorneys, accountants and the bank's commercial and mortgage partners.

What we are looking for

Five or more years in trust administration or a fiduciary practice.
J.D., certified trust and fiduciary advisor designation, or equivalent fiduciary experience.
Judgment. A discretionary distribution decision is defended years later on the record you wrote at the time.
