Calder Bank & Trust Completes Core Banking Platform Modernization

A multi-year program upgrades the bank's Jack Henry SilverLake core and consolidates systems carried over from four acquisitions.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. Calder Bank & Trust, N.A. has completed the multi-year modernization of its core banking platform, the bank announced today.

The program upgraded the bank's Jack Henry SilverLake core, moved integration between the core and the bank's digital, teller and imaging platforms onto service based interfaces, and retired several account servicing systems the bank had carried since its 2016 and 2021 acquisitions.

"We had four banks worth of history running underneath one brand," said Priya Raghunathan, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer. "A client should not be able to tell which acquisition their account came from. As of this quarter, they cannot."

"The measure people inside the bank care about is how long it takes to open a commercial relationship end to end," said Dwayne T. Ledbetter, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. "That has come down by more than half since we started."

The bank reported no client-facing service interruption during the final conversion weekend.
