If your Calder debit or credit card is lost, stolen, or you see a charge you did not make, report it right away. Reporting quickly is what limits how much you can be held responsible for. The debit and credit card lines below are answered 24 hours a day, every day of the year, including holidays. Our offices keep the lobby hours shown in the table.
Report it now. Debit cards: (800) 555-0188. Calder credit cards: (800) 555-0199. If you are outside the United States, call (423) 555-0142 collect. That line takes lost and stolen card reports 24 hours a day. Do not wait for the next business day and do not report a lost card by email.
| Card | Number | Availability |
|---|---|---|
| Calder debit card (personal and business) | (800) 555-0188 | 24 hours a day, every day |
| Calder credit card | (800) 555-0199 | 24 hours a day, every day |

| Calder main number, including collect calls from outside the United States | (423) 555-0142 | Lost and stolen card reports 24 hours a day. All other calls Monday through Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Friday to 5:00 p.m. |
Calder Bank & Trust will never call, text, or email you to ask for your full card number, your online banking password, or a Duo Security approval code. If you receive that request, hang up and call the number above. See Report Fraud.
If you think the card is misplaced rather than stolen, you can turn it off in Q2 Online without closing the account. A frozen card declines new purchases and ATM withdrawals immediately. You can turn it back on at any time.
Business and commercial cards are locked in Treasury Gateway under Cards, or by calling (800) 555-0188.
A freeze does not stop recurring payments that were already set up with the merchant, and it does not stop checks or automatic drafts from your checking account. If the card was stolen, call instead of freezing, because a freeze does not start a replacement or a fraud claim. Mobile app details are on Mobile Banking.
When you report a card lost or stolen, the old card number is closed permanently and cannot be reactivated, even if the card turns up later. A new card with a new number is ordered at the same time.
| Replacement | Arrives | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Standard, mailed to the address on file | 7 to 10 business days | No charge |
| Expedited, mailed to the address on file | 2 to 3 business days | $35.00 |
| Debit card printed at an office, where that service is offered | Same day | No charge |
Your personal identification number stays the same unless you ask to change it. If anyone may have watched you enter it, or the card was taken at an ATM, ask us to change it while you are on the call. Cards are mailed inactive. Activation instructions come with the card. Offices that print debit cards on site are marked on Locations.
Anything billed directly to the card number will decline once the old number is closed. Some merchants receive updated card numbers automatically from the card network, but that does not happen for every merchant, so do not count on it. Work through the list below within a few days of getting the new card.
| Type of payment | Effect | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Subscriptions and memberships billed to the card | Declines at the next billing date | Update the card number with each merchant |
| Insurance or utility drafts charged to the card | Declines and may generate a late notice | Update the card number and confirm the next draft date |
| Card loaded into a phone or watch wallet | Stops working immediately | Remove the old card and add the new one after activation |
| Automatic drafts from your checking account by account and routing number | Not affected | No action needed |
| Bill payments scheduled inside Q2 Online | Not affected | No action needed |
Debit card losses on consumer accounts are governed by Regulation E, which implements the Electronic Fund Transfer Act. The amount you can lose depends on when you tell us. Business and commercial cards are covered by your business account agreement and card agreement instead, and the limits below do not apply to them.
| When you notify us | Most you can lose |
|---|---|
| Within two business days after you learn of the loss or theft | $50 |
| More than two business days after you learn of the loss or theft, but within 60 days after we send the statement showing the first unauthorized transfer | Up to $500 |
| More than 60 days after we send the statement showing the first unauthorized transfer | No limit on the transfers that occur after that 60 day period closes |
If a good reason such as a hospital stay or extended travel kept you from telling us, the time periods will be extended. If you report an unauthorized transfer that did not involve a lost or stolen card, tell us within 60 days after the statement was sent.
Calder credit cards. Under Regulation Z, which implements the Truth in Lending Act, your liability for unauthorized use of a credit card is capped at $50. In practice, if you report the card lost or stolen before an unauthorized charge is made, you are not liable for that charge at all. Card details are on Credit and Debit Cards.
No. The number is closed permanently at the moment you report it. Destroy the old card by cutting through the chip and the magnetic stripe.
Yes. Come into any office with a government issued photo identification and make a withdrawal at the teller line, or write a check against your account.
We will tell you the result of our investigation within 10 business days after we hear from you. If we need more time, we may take up to 45 days, and in that case we will provisionally credit your account within 10 business days so you have use of the money while we work. If your account was opened within the last 30 days, that provisional credit may take up to 20 business days. For new accounts, point of sale transactions, and transactions outside the United States, the investigation period may be up to 90 days.
Not to open a claim with us. If the card was taken in a theft or a burglary, filing a report with local law enforcement is worth doing anyway, and we may ask you for the report number.
Call (800) 555-0188, which is answered at any hour, so we can place a stop on the check numbers, then order a new supply from Order Checks.
The liability amounts above summarize your rights for consumer accounts under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act and Regulation E. The full terms, including our error resolution procedures, are in your Electronic Fund Transfer Disclosure and in the Deposit Account Agreement posted at Disclosures. Business and commercial accounts are governed by the applicable business account agreement and card agreement, not by Regulation E. Business cardholders should contact their treasury officer or see Treasury Security.
The expedited replacement fee shown above is $35.00 per card and is effective March 1, 2026. Fees are subject to change with notice as described in your account agreement. A complete fee schedule is posted at Rates and Fees. Card issuance and credit approval are subject to our underwriting standards.
