Personal and small business checks can be reordered in Q2 Online, by telephone at (423) 555-0142, or at any Calder Bank & Trust office. Commercial clients on Treasury Gateway order through their treasury service request form instead. Orders are printed by the bank's check printer and mailed to the address carried on the account, unless you ask us to hold the box at an office. This page lists what you need to have in front of you, what the common styles cost, and how long delivery takes.
New accounts. The first check order for a newly opened account is placed by the banker at account opening, so there is nothing for you to do here. If the account was opened within the last three weeks and no checks have arrived, call us before placing a second order, because a duplicate order will be printed and billed separately.
Ordering in Q2 Online pulls most of this from the bank's records and you will not be asked to type it. Have these in front of you when you order by telephone or at an office, or when you want to set the starting check number yourself.
| Item | Where to find it | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Routing number 064209731 | Bottom left of an existing check, or our routing number page | The same routing number is used for every Calder Bank & Trust deposit account. |
| Account number | Bottom center of an existing check, or the account detail screen in Q2 Online | Use the deposit account number, not the debit card number and not the Q2 Online user ID. |
| Name exactly as carried on the account | Your account statement, or the signature card on file | The printed name must match the account title. We cannot print a name, a trade name, or a spelling that is not carried on the account. |
| Address of record | Your statement mailing address | Change the address first if it is out of date. An order already accepted cannot be redirected in transit. |
| Last check number issued | Your check register, or recent posted items in Q2 Online | Used to set the starting number. See the section below. |
Address changes can be made in Q2 Online under Settings, at any office with identification, or by calling us. Allow one business day for a change to reach the check printer.
Sign in to Q2 Online, open the account, and choose Reorder Checks. Your routing number, account number, and account title are carried over from the bank's records, so nothing has to be typed in. You will be asked to approve the sign in with Duo Security. Personal and small business accounts are supported.
Call (423) 555-0142 during business hours. We will verify your identity before releasing account information or accepting an order. Have the account number and the style number from the box of your last order if you have it, since that is the quickest way to repeat a style exactly.
Any of our 61 offices can place an order and can show you the current styles in the printer's book. Bring a government issued photo identification. Office addresses and lobby hours, which differ by office, are on the locations page.
Commercial clients using Treasury Gateway should submit check and deposit ticket orders through their treasury service request form rather than Q2 Online, so the order is routed to the analysis account that carries the charge. Your treasury officer can also place the order for you. See treasury resources.

Orders accepted after 3:00 p.m. Eastern time, which is 2:00 p.m. at our Central time offices, or on a weekend or a federal holiday, begin production the next business day. Delivery windows above run from the start of production, not from the moment you submit the order.
If you do not specify a number, the order continues from the highest check number the bank has on file for the account, which is usually the right answer. You can set a different starting number in Q2 Online at the time of the order, or tell the banker taking the order by telephone.
Two situations call for setting the number yourself. If you have unused checks from an older box that you intend to keep writing, start the new order above that range so two checks never carry the same number. If you have just closed and reopened an account after a fraud loss, consider starting the reopened account in the 3000s or higher rather than at 1001, since some merchants apply extra scrutiny to low numbered checks.
If the starting number you ask for would repeat numbers the account has already used, we will tell you when the order is taken and place the order at the next available number instead. Call us at (423) 555-0142 if you are not sure which numbers have already been used.
A check order for a business, a nonprofit, or an association account must be placed by a person listed as an authorized signer on the current signature card or account resolution for that account. A bookkeeper, an office manager, or an outside accountant who is not a signer cannot place the order, even if that person handles the account day to day and can produce the account number. This applies to orders placed in an office, by telephone, and online, because Q2 Online entitlements for a business account are granted by a signer.
If the person who signs your checks has changed, update the signature card at any office before ordering. The printed name and any second line, such as a registered trade name, must match the account title we carry. Business boxes ship to the business address of record and are not sent to a residence unless that address is the address of record for the account.
Businesses that mostly receive checks rather than write them may not need a large reorder. See remote deposit capture for depositing incoming checks from your office, and treasury services for paying by ACH file instead of by check.
Call (423) 555-0142 if a standard order has not arrived within 14 business days. We can confirm the mailing address the order used and, for trackable methods, the carrier status. When we confirm the order was lost in the mail, the reprint is issued at no charge to you.
If a box arrives opened, is short of checks, or shows a gap in the check numbers, treat it as a possible theft. Report it the same day at report fraud or by telephone, and do not write any of the remaining checks in that box until we have spoken with you. We can take a stop payment on a range of unissued check numbers while you are on the call. A stop payment given by telephone lapses after 14 days unless it is confirmed in writing, so we will send you the confirmation to sign. The stop payment charge in the fee schedule on the disclosures page applies unless it is waived for a confirmed theft.
No. Check orders are limited to owners and authorized signers on the account. Someone holding a power of attorney that we have accepted and recorded for the account may also order.
Only if that person is already an owner on the account.
Checks already printed stay valid until the account title itself changes. Bring the marriage certificate, court order, or other documentation to any office. We update the signature card and the account title first, and the new check order follows once that is done, which avoids printing a name the account does not yet carry. Nothing you have already written is affected.
Destroy them. Shred rather than discard whole, because a discarded check carries both the routing number and the account number. Any check presented on a closed account is returned unpaid and may cost you a returned item charge from the payee.
Offices can print counter checks on an existing account for a single payment before a box arrives. Some payees decline them because they carry no preprinted name.
Yes. Nothing requires an account to have checks. Many customers pay through bill pay in Q2 Online or from the mobile app and never reorder.
No, the price of the style is the same in every channel.
Prices on this page are effective March 1, 2026 and are subject to change. The prices shown cover the styles most often ordered and do not represent the printer's full catalog. Charges are debited from the account the checks are drawn on, normally within two business days of the order, and are itemized on your periodic statement. Applicable state and local sales tax is added at the time of the order. Fees for other services, including stop payments and returned items, are listed in the fee schedule on the disclosures page and on the rates page.
